Our Community Team

West Africa Blue’s dedicated community team is the core of our organization. With over 70 remarkable individuals hailing from the very communities in which we operate, our community team plays a pivotal role in our mission to preserve, restore, and sustainably manage coastal ecosystems across West Africa. These team members are not just employees; they are respected members of their communities, serving as invaluable advocates, passionate conservationists, and guardians of local knowledge.

Our community team members bring a deep understanding of their environments, cultures, and traditions, which is essential for the success of our projects. They work hand-in-hand with us to bridge the gap between conservation goals and the daily lives of their fellow community members. Through their dedication, we are able to create meaningful connections with local communities, fostering collaboration and ensuring that our efforts lead to lasting positive impacts on both the environment and the people who call these coastal areas home.
