Sean has wide ranging responsibility at West Africa Blue but primarily focuses on the technical and scientific components of blue carbon project development. Before joining West Africa Blue, Sean worked in international development through carbon finance and has consulted on a range of projects in forestry and renewable energy. Prior to working in carbon markets, Sean spent years in marine climate change research with a particular focus on the unique impact mitigation capabilities of seagrass and mangrove ecosystems. Sean holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences from Eckerd College.
