David is a Partner at West Africa Blue and a Partner at Solon Capital Partners, which he
co-founded in Freetown in 2010. Now based in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, David's responsibilities include investment execution and strategy, and the raising of capital for Solon and its portfolio companies. Prior to Solon, he was Deputy Project Leader of the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative in Sierra Leone, where he led the team's Private Sector Development work from the Office of the President of Sierra Leone. Prior to that, David was a member of the Corporate Private Equity division of The Blackstone Group, in London, and the Financial Sponsors Group within the investment banking division of Credit Suisse First Boston, in New York. He first worked in West Africa in 2004, teaching math and science to Liberian refugees on the Buduburam Camp outside Accra, Ghana. He graduated with Honours in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.
